Move your number from one operator to another free

You can move a mobile number from another supplier in the island to become a Sure customer while retaining your old number. This process is called Mobile Number Portability (MNP) and can be made between operators in your island.  You can switch between Sure, Wave and Airtel in Guernsey; Sure, Airtel and JT in Jersey; Sure and Manx Telecom in Isle of Man.

You can choose the date to have your number ported. Depending on the time of day your port request is submitted, your port to your new Network Provider should take up to 2 working days or can be booked up to 58 days from the day of the port request.

There is a 2 month period after you have ported in which you may not port again. Once those 2 months are over you may request to be ported again. If you have signed a contract you will be responsible for any fees and charges incurred.

If your line is suspended it must be cleared before you can move it to another provider. The Network Provider can reject you port request and will supply you with a reason for doing so.
